Normally this blog is all about the stupid things that some people do. Today, I'm going to give kudos to a smart decision that the Station 20 West Board made.

When their provincial funding got pulled, they protested, they organized rallies, they attempted to shame the government into restoring the funding that they lost. So what happened when the government told them that they weren't going to have it restored?

They started focusing their energy on fundraising - not to spite the government, but to make sure that a project they feel is vital to that area of the city continues. They made a good decision. They decided that it was up to nobody but themselves to make sure the project went ahead.

And it will be up to the residents of the area to decide if it's a success or not. As it should be.
